Ingredients
+For the burger patties:
°1 large egg
°1/4 cup breadcrumbs
°6 tranches bacon, cooked and chopped
°1 t seasoned salt
°3 tsp of olive oil
°1-1/2 pound ground beef
°1 onion, diced
°1 t garlic powder
°1/2 teaspoon fresh black pepper
°1 cup all-purpose flour
+For mushroom and brown onion sauce:
°1 onion,
°1 c beef broth
°1 c of water
°1/4 c flour
°1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
°1/4 teaspoon black pepper
°2 cups freshly sliced mushrooms
Preparation
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, add all patty ingredients except olive oil and flour.
Step 2: Making 4 to 6 patties with mixture.
Step 3: Dip each patty in flour and make sure to coat well.
Step 4: Placing skillet on stove and turning heat to medium.
Step 5: Adding olive oil & heat.
Step 6: Adding patties also cooking both sides to color turns brown.
Step 7: Set aside the accumulated fat on the patties.
Step 8: Add onions and 1 tbsp water.
Step 9: In a medium mixing bowl, add water, 1/4 cup flour, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, sausage, seasoning salt and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
Step 10: Transfer the mixture to the skillet and stir until thickened.
Step 11: Add cooked patties and coat each, turning occasionally. The burgers should absorb the sauce.
Step 12: Add the chopped mushrooms.
Step 13: Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes or until heated through.
Step 14: Place the burgers on a clean serving platter. Placing mash potatoes on top.
