Ingredients
1 lb steak (ribeye or sirloin), sliced into strips
12 oz fettuccine pasta
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, diced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water, and set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Steak
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
Add the sliced steak and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Cook the steak for about 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it reaches your desired doneness.
Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Cajun Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter.
Add the diced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream, stirring continuously.
Add the Parmesan cheese and whisk until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to loosen it.
Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or Cajun seasoning if needed.
Step 4: Combine Everything
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss it in the Alfredo sauce until fully coated.
Return the cooked steak to the skillet, mixing it gently with the pasta and sauce.
Let it simmer for 2 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle fresh parsley over the pasta.
Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
