Ingredients:
2.5–3 lb chuck roast
1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
1 packet Au Jus Gravy Mix
5–6 pepperoncini peppers
1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter
Directions:
Prep the Roast:
Place the chuck roast in the bottom of your crock pot.
Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the top of the roast.
Add the pepperoncini peppers around and on top of the roast (you can add a splash of the juice too for extra flavor!).
Place the stick of butter right on top.
Slow Cook:
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours—no need to add any water or broth. The roast will become incredibly tender and flavorful as it simmers in its own juices.
Serve:
Shred the roast with two forks and serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or over buttered noodles. Spoon some of that rich pepperoncini-infused gravy right over the top.
